In the Novice Advanced category, Team Dynamique from Helsinki (Finland) impressed the audience with a colorful free program called « Over the Rainbow ». The Finnish national champions 2016 won the competition with more than 20 points ahead. Another Finnish team won the silver medal. Aurora Borealis from Oulu who skated in purple dresses. At the 3rd place, Team Limelight from Sweden with a total of 37.96 points.
Before the Seniors on Friday evening, the Junior skaters presented their short program in the Ile Lacroix arena. The victory went to Team Junost from Russia (58.18 points) who skated a very precise program in France. Two other Finnish teams followed, Team Fintastic who did 55.40 points and Team Mystique who earned 54.04 points with their program « Mad World ».
rnIt wasn’t a good day for Skyliners Juniors, representing the U.S. The team had some falls at the start of the block and finished at the 4th place with 48.64 points. Dressed in gray, Chicago Jazz skated to « Archangel » and got 47.70 points. Just behind, Team Fireblades from Finland with a total of 46.24 points.
rnAt the provisional 7th place, Team Jeanne d’Arc from France with 35.68 points. Cool Dreams from Switzerland earned a total of 32.58 points. Team Moonlights from Sweden (30.54 points) and the French Zazous (29.98 points) completed the rankings after the short programs.
